IVMT is commercializing peptide-based molecular imaging agents that bind with high specificity to cancer-associated biomarkers overexpressed in gastrointestinal malignancies. By combining advances in peptide engineering, fluorescence imaging, and clinical translation, our technologies are designed to help physicians distinguish malignant from benign tissue in real time during endoscopic procedures.
IVMT's proprietary platform utilizes targeted peptide ligands, including novel heterodimer structures, engineered to recognize multiple molecular targets simultaneously. This approach is designed to enhance molecular targeting and potentially improve imaging sensitivity and specificity compared with conventional single-target strategies.
Our lead imaging agent targets two clinically important biomarkers—EGFR and ErbB2—and is designed for use with near-infrared fluorescence imaging during cholangioscopy to assist in the evaluation of indeterminate biliary strictures.
By providing molecular information in addition to conventional anatomical imaging, IVMT aims to improve diagnostic confidence while supporting more informed clinical decision-making.
IVMT is advancing a multi-center Phase II clinical study evaluating its lead peptide-based molecular imaging agent for distinguishing benign from malignant indeterminate biliary strictures.
The study is designed to evaluate the safety and clinical performance of a topically administered near-infrared fluorescent imaging agent used during cholangioscopy. The study is planned across multiple leading academic medical centers to evaluate the technology in a diverse patient population.
IVMT is proud to receive support through the National Institutes of Health Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program. NIH funding has accelerated the clinical translation of our molecular imaging platform and supports our ongoing Phase II multi-site clinical trial.
